She was born in Livorno, granddaughter of the famous composer Sirio Santucci (1901-1959); she began to study Music at 7 years old. Has received her Diploma in Piano at the Istituto Musicale Superiore di Studi Musicali “P. Mascagni” in Livorno and in Music Teaching at the Conservatorio di Musica “G: Puccini” in La Spezia. She got the II Level Academic Degree in Piano with full marks and honors and the “Biennium of II level – Piano Teaching” with full marks and honors at the Istituto Musicale Superiore di Studi Musicali “P. Mascagni” in Livorno.
Scilla continued her Piano studies, improving her skills with musicians such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Andor Foldes, Paolo Bordoni, Daniel Rivera and Muriel Chemin (Maria Tipo’s student).
Furthemore, with Paul Badura-Skoda, she studied at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.
She acquired competences in Contemporary Music repertoire, refining herself at the International Music Accademy “Irmus- Istituto di Ricerca Musicale in Milan, from 2007 to 2010 with Renato Rivolta and Silva Costanzo. She also got two bursaries attending the ” Acanthes 2009″ course, at the Académie du Centre Acanthes in Metz (France).
Scilla Lenzi performes in concert activity as solo pianist, accompanying singers and instrumentalists in various formations.
Her soloist repertoire ranges from J.S. Bach to I. Fedele, with particular preference for W.A. Mozart, F. Chopin and C. Debussy.
She was the first pianist, in Italy, to play ” Un claro del tempo” by Kryztof Wolek (Mantova 2009). Her interest for little-known repertoires has brought her to rediscover Livorno composers of the
nineteenth and twentieth century, giving many concerts to divulgate this repertoire.
Scilla has dedicated an intensive research about past women composers as well as contemporary, holding concert-lessons.
She addresses herself to the study of the repertoire for Forte-piano; she plays on a Table Forte-piano
“John Broadwood & Sons/Makers to His Majestic… Great Pultney Street … London” dated 1825.

In 2004 she accompanied on the piano Andrea Bocelli in the “Pancreas Cancer World Congress” event.
She has recorded, as soloist, for Rai Radio Tre Suite, program “La stanza della Musica”, playing music by Scarlatti, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt and Gershwin,which was broadcasted on August 22nd 2003.
